SOPHILYA LEGGZ: NOT YOUR TYPICAL QUEEN

I've always dreamt of making a film. So I decided to make one. The hard part was finding a story worth telling.

While living in San Francisco, one of the most important cities in the history of the LGBT movements, I became fascinated by the double life of drag queens; juggling a normal job alongside their second persona as glamorous performers.

At a local bar called Aunt Charlie's Lounge, I met Sophilya Leggz: school teacher by day and drag queen by night. Both me and my partner Jens Munkeby felt that her story was so interesting that we wanted to share it with the world.

After borrowing a bunch of equipment, conducting interviews, and shaping the structure - it was finally finished. We ended up signing a contract with OutTv which means it's being broadcasted on TV and online between 2017 and 2022.

My role: Director, producer, editor
